In Beginning ...

Latin Rhythms Dance Company was founded in January 2003, with a focus to promote the appreciation, spirit, and joy of Latin dance throughout Kansas City and beyond. That same year, the Kansas City start wrote the following about our performance: "The choreography by Josue Hernandez and Denisse Eliza included the most wildly intricate salsa sequence imaginable, danced in such perfect unison that it looked like ballet."

Then what?

Since then, Latin Rhythm has performed in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Omaha and Philadelhia. Additionally, they have been invited to perform and instructor at various local companies such as the Sprint World Meeting, Cerner, Hallmark, Merill Lynch Corp., Special Olympics, HNTB and many more.

Through the direction of our only founder, Josh Hernandez, the company has recruited members who share their passion and love for dance. Each dancers has a unique and exciting style, which they have developed over years of dancing. Their varied dance experiences include professional training, performance experience, and nightclub influence.
